The Department for the Welfare of Differently Abled & Senior Citizens launched the “Sanctioning of Daisy Players to Visually Challenged” scheme to distribute free daisy players to visually challenged students pursuing 9th Class to Degree as per the Action Plan 2017-18. The Assistant Directors and District Managers are instructed to follow these guidelines to ensure proper distribution. The application is accepted online for this scheme.

Benefits
Eligible beneficiaries of this scheme will be provided with a DAISY Player to facilitate accessible learning and information access.

Eligibility
The applicant should have 40% or above disability and meet the eligibility criteria as specified in the RPwD Act, 2016.
The applicant should be eligible for sanction only once in three years.
The applicant’s family annual income should not exceed ₹3,00,000/-.
